I'm silently correcting your grammar.

I have won 4 national writing awards.

  • Gold Medal from Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). Competition judges called my article “stark and dramatic” and “hard-hitting.” They praised me for going “beyond the subject matter” and for being “a superior, extraordinarily powerful writer.” The article, appearing in Penn Medicine, won in a field of 246 entries.
  • APEX Award for Professional Excellence from Writing Concepts and Communications Manager. My winning entry was the monthly newsletter for the 850 residents of a high-rise condo, in the category of newsletter writing. I edited the monthly publication for 7 years.
  • APEX Award for Professional Excellence from Writing Concepts and Communications Manager. My article, “Lies, Lies, Lies,” appeared in the Washington Post, Houston Chronicle, Chicago Sun-Times and Newsday. It won in the category of feature writing.
  • APEX Award for Professional Excellence from Writing Concepts and Communications Manager. I won for corporate internal newsletters, for a monthly publication, Spectacor Ink, published for the employees of 9 Spectacor companies.
